Email Tips for Graduating Students
Are you expecting to graduate soon?
Per University policy, your PennO365 student account (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, etc) will expire 60 days after your graduation date. For students graduating in May, this date is generally in mid-August. Once the account expires, you won't be able to access your Outlook account as well as other Office products and services (including OneDrive).
If your account has expired and you need an extension, please open a support ticket with GSE IT to restore your account to backup your important data. 30 days after your account expiration date (90 days after the graduation), your PennO365 account with your data will be permanently deleted. We won't be able to retrieve your data after this date.
Please see below for our recommendations:
Use automatic replies in Outlook Web App to let people who send you email know that you won’t be responding to their messages right away. After automatic replies are turned on, they’ll be sent once to each sender.
2. Backup any important data from your Outlook email so you can access it through a personal Outlook client.
You will need your PennKey username and password. If you do not receive an email to activate your account, please login to QuakerNet. Check your SPAM and JUNK folders for the initial invitation.
