Connecting to AirPennNet Did you connect to AirPennNet successfully previously? If so, you may need to remove the old wireless profile from your devices and install a new one. Is this your first time connecting to AirPennNet? Go to https://bit.ly/pennapn Penn faculty/staff/students can enter their PennKey and Password then click JoinNow. After you enter your information open the Settings app, you will see a “Downloaded Profiles” notification Click on “Downloaded Profiles” and follow the prompts to finish installing the profile. When you are finished open the Settings app, then open the Wi-Fi menu to verify that you’re connected to AirPennNet. iOS: To remove the old AirPennNet profile Go to Settings then General then Profiles. Select the “University of Pennsylvania” AirPennNet profile. Delete the profile. To connect to AirPennNet Go to Settings then Wi-Fi; click on Connect to AirPennNet. Open up Safari to enter bbc.com in the address bar.Pro Tip: Still having problem to open the website? Try this link Follow the instructions to enter your PennKey username and password and then click JoinNow. Allow the website to download the configuration profile and then go back to Settings. Go to General then VPN & Device Management to locate the Downloaded Profile section. Select “University of Pennsylvania AirPennNet” and click Install and then type your iPhone/iPad passcode. Install it and then go to Wi-Fi to check the network name. MacOS: To remove the old AirPennNet profile Click on the Apple menu at the top-left of your screen. Click System Preferences then Network. Select Wi-Fi in the list on the left. Click the Advanced button. The Wi-Fi pane shows a Preferred Networks list. Click on AirPennNet and then click the remove button (–) beneath the list. Click OK. Click Apply. To connect to AirPennNet Select the network called Connect to AirPennNet in the Wi-Fi list. Launch a web browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and enter bbc.com in the address bar. You will be re-directed to the SecureW2 JoinNow page (if you are not automatically redirected, please use this link). Select the Configure via application option and click on the JoinNow button to download the SecureW2 app. Go to your System Preferences > Profiles and allowing installing the profile with your Computer Admin Account & Password. Run the SecureW2 application after it has downloaded (“WiFi_UPenn_Wrapper.dmg”) and then enter your PennKey and Password. Click Continue. Enter your Computer Admin Account & Password. Android: To remove the old AirPennNet profile Go to Wi-Fi then Certificates. Select the “University of Pennsylvania” AirPennNet certificate. Delete the certificate. To connect to AirPennNet Open the Settings app, click on WiFi, and select Connect to AirPennNet . Open up a web browser and navigate to bbc.com. The AirPennNet wizard should automatically open and if not automatically redirected, please use this link. Click the Download button in Step 1 to get the SecureW2 app from the Google Play Store Install the Secure W2 App from the Play Store. After it has installed return to your phones browser with the JoinNow page up. Click the JoinNow button at the bottom of the page. Enter your PennKey and Password and press Continue.Pro Tip: click on the eyeball icon next to your password to make sure that you enter the password correctly! Windows: To remove the old AirPennNet profile Open the Start menu. Search for WiFi settings, click on the matching result. In the WiFi settings window, click Manage known networks. Click on AirPennNet in the list and click Forget. To connect to AirPennNet Click the WiFi icon near the clock. Click on the "AirPennNet" network.
